It includes a mixed -use commercial center with
1,600,000 square feet of commercial space,
1,500,000 square feet of office space, and 1,200 hotel
rooms.
1996 Addendum: Addendum (ER 96-033) to the EIR for the
MainPlace/Santa Ana Expansion. Prepared in 1996 to
evaluate a then -proposed expansion of the Originally
Approved Plan's commercial uses. The 1996 determined
that expanding the site's commercial uses would not
result in new or substantially more severe significant
impacts than were disclosed in the 1983 EIR. However,
the commercial expansion was never implemented as
proposed in 1996.
Current Entitlements: The total square footage of development that the Project
site is currently permitted for, and the amount of
development that could occur without further discretionary
permits from the City. This includes up to 1,509,255
square feet of commercial, 1,500,000 square feet of office
space, and 400 hotel rooms. These entitlements were
approved in 2000. The City relied on the analysis in the
10
