Based on the trip distribution and assignment assumptions, the new trips to be added to the street
system by the Proposed Project were calculated and are shown on Figure 7, Proposed Project -Related
Traffic Volumes.
A component of the residential trip -making is trips associated with getting school -aged children to and
from the area schools. The ITE trip generation rates for residential uses includes all trip purposes, including
work trips, shopping trips, and trips associated with schools.
The project site is located partially in the boundaries of the Santa Ana Unified School District and partially
in the Orange Unified School District.
The closest Santa Ana Unified School District schools are:
Hoover Elementary
Sierra Intermediate
Santa Ana High School
The closest Orange Unified School District schools are:
West Orange Elementary
Portola Middle School
Orange High School
School district maps showing the school district boundaries and the locations of these schools are
provided in Appendix C. The locations of the schools in relation to the project site were taken into account
when developing the trip distribution assumptions for the residential component of the Project.
Kimley>»Horn Page 129
