Euclid Street, Santa Ana, CA
Categories: Correspondence
RE: Project Applicant - Adan Madrid with ASI Development, representing 7-Eleven, Inc.
Conditional Use Permit No.: 2019-21
To: Santa Ana City Council
This development would directly impact my property since I live caddy -corner to the site the Project Applicant is
proposing to build on. I, and most of the homeowners in the Garden Grove Collection Association, do not want this
project to go through as it would negatively affect the environment and property values around the area with gas fumes,
including various carcinogenic hydrocarbons, and bringing in crime to the area.
This can already be seen and felt at the 7-11 gas station and convenience store on the corner of Euclid and Trask, in
Garden Grove, CA, just a mile north of this site location (13472 S Euclid St). They constantly get robbed, sometimes at
gun point, there are drug dealers who sell drugs on the property who never get trespassed by the store, and there are
always groups of loiters looking for trouble with pedestrians and locals passing through that area.
Furthermore, there is already another 7-11 on the corner of Euclid and First Street, % of a mile south of this site (5210 W
1s` Street, Santa Ana, CA, 92703), including a 76 gas station with its own convenience store on the same
intersection. Also, there's a convenience/liquor store on the corner of Euclid and Westminster. Along this main corridor
(Euclid Street), there are already 4 convenience stores within 0.75 miles of each other, 2 of which are 7-Elevens. The
"Convenience Store" category is already highly saturated in this area and will not get the support and business it thinks
it's going to be getting. Please seriously consider dropping project. It will and likely is already meeting strong opposition
from the residents of this area.
Thank you for your time and consideration in reading this email.
Larry Tra n
