Ryan Kearns <br />Ryan Kearns has over three years of experience in <br />watershed management, environmental compliance, and <br />Years of Experience <br />water quality sampling. In 2016, Ryan received his Bachelor Education <br />of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the BS, Chemical Engineering, <br />University of California, Riverside. Prior to joining CWE, University of California, <br />Ryan worked as the Project Coordinator for Inland Empire Riverside <br />Waterkeeper, where he conducted surface water quality <br />monitoring, stormwater litigation monitoring and public outreach within the middle to upper <br />Santa Ana Watershed. He currently assists lead scientists and engineers in environmental <br />compliance permitting, water quality sampling, and preparing water quality monitoring plans and <br />reports. <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />City of Culver City Washington Boulevard P3 Green Street and Diversion Environmental <br />Coordinator assisting with the Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) and coordinating environmental <br />studies for the design of a diversion system to capture stormwater and urban runoff from a drainage area <br />of approximately 40 acres for the City of Culver City. The MND tiers off the Programmatic EIR prepared <br />by LACFCD. The MND discusses findings that were not fully assessed in the PEIR. <br />City of Agoura Hills Medea and Palo Comado Creek Stormwater Treatment Plant, Linear <br />Park, and Wetlands Improvement Environmental Coordinator developing MND and coordinating <br />environmental studies for the design of stormwater treatment plant, linear park, and various wetlands <br />improvements in the City of Agoura Hills. The MND tiers off the Programmatic EIR prepared by LACFCD <br />and includes additional studies including biological and cultural resources. <br />Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority Middle Santa Ana River Bacteria TMDL <br />Monitoring Program Environmental Scientist monitoring 303(d) impaired water bodies for the Middle <br />SAR TMDL Task Force. Tasks included: conducting water sampling for twelve water bodies for bacterial <br />TMDLs, making field observations, conducting data management and analysis, and performing <br />maintenance and calibration of environmental monitoring instruments. <br />Confidential Client: Upper Santa Ana River Watershed Water Monitoring Program Quality <br />Assurance and Quality Control officer that coordinated a water quality monitoring program to assess the <br />effects of bacteria discharge into creeks in Region 4 of the Santa Ana River watershed. Tasks included: <br />provided direction on field sampling logistics, personnel assignments, and field operation; ensured <br />conformity to sample handling, processing, and testing requirements; coordinated and communicated <br />tasks with contractor organizations; prepared a final report containing analysis of sampling data, <br />analytical methods, and QA narrative and analytical test results. <br />
