The Initial
Study determined that the Project Site is located in an urban area. The Approved Project would not expose
people or structures to a significant risk of loss, injury or death involving wildland fires, including wildland fires
that occur on land adjacent to urbanized areas or where residences are intermixed with wildlands. The Initial
Study further determined that the Project Site is not subject to mudflows due to the flat topography.
5.20.2 Impacts Associated with the Proposed Project
If located in or near state responsibility areas or lands classified as very high fire hazard severity zones, would
the Proposed Project:
Environmental Issues
Substantial Change in Project Requiring
Major EIR Revisions
Substantial
Change in Circum-stances Requiring
Major EIR Revisions
New Information Showing New or Increased
Significant Effects
Less Than Significant Impact/No
Changes or New Information Requiring
Preparation of an EIR No Impact
a) Substantially impair an adopted emergency
response plan or emergency evacuation
plan? x
b) Due to slope, prevailing winds, and other
factors, exacerbate wildfire risks, and
thereby expose project occupants to,
pollutant concentrations from a wildfire or
the uncontrolled spread of a wildfire?
x
c) Require the installation or maintenance of
associated infrastructure (such as roads,
fuel breaks, emergency water sources,
power lines or other utilities) that may
exacerbate fire risk or that may result in
temporary or ongoing impacts to the
environment?
x
5 - 152
