MADELEINE MAMAUX, CFA, ASA <br />PARTNER <br />Ms. Mamaux will serve as the Project Manager for all business goodwill appraisal assignments. <br />Ms. Mamaux began her business valuation career as a financial analyst at DM&A from 1989 to 1991. <br />Having earned an MBA and gaining significant analytical experience in the investment industry, she <br />rejoined DM&A in 1997 as a valuation manager. Ms. Mamaux became a principal at the firm in 2001, <br />and has been a Partner since 2007. <br />Ms. Mamaux's experience in business valuation has focused on the appraisal of goodwill loss in eminent <br />domain matters across California. She has prepared hundreds of loss of goodwill appraisals and spoken <br />on numerous occasions regarding the appraisal of goodwill loss under California's Code of Civil <br />Procedure. In addition, she has prepared valuations of businesses for purposes including estate tax, <br />partnership and corporate dissolution, shareholder buyouts, strategic planning, and financing. Ms. <br />Mamaux has appraised businesses across the retail, manufacturing, industrial, and agricultural sectors, <br />including billboards, restaurants, medical offices, gas stations, and auto repay. <br />During her years away from DM&A, Ms. Mamaux analyzed investment opportunities in fixed -income <br />securities for Teachers' Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA), the nation's largest private pension <br />fund. She also held an analytical position at Fitch Investors Service, an international bond -rating agency, <br />where she was responsible for assigning credit ratings to large multinational companies. <br />Ms. Mamaux has provided testimony in Los Angeles Superior Court and in arbitration proceedings. A <br />Chartered Financial Analyst, she is a member of the CFA Institute and the Los Angeles Society of <br />Financial Analysts. Additionally, Ms. Mamaux is a Senior Member of the American Society of <br />Appraisers in the Business Valuation discipline and a member of the International Right of Way <br />Association. <br />Ms. Mamaux graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Claremont McKenna College. <br />She majored in economics and mathematics and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She holds a master's <br />degree in business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, <br />graduating with distinction with a degree in finance. Ms. Mamaux's court and deposition testimony is <br />available upon request. <br />MARCUS IL PIGROM, ASA <br />SENIOR MANAGER —FURNITURE, FIXTURES, MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT <br />Mr. Pigrom will serve as Project Manager for all FFM&E appraisal assignments. <br />Mr. Pigrom joined Desmond, Marcello & Amster in 2005 as an FFM&E appraiser and became Senior <br />Manager and head of the department in 2009. He has successfully completed hundreds of appraisal <br />assignments in connection with eminent domain proceedings. His appraisal experience includes a wide <br />variety of business types in the manufacturing, retail, and service sectors. Representative projects include <br />the appraisal of mobile homes, industrial machinery and equipment, retail shopping centers, distribution <br />facilities, restaurants, billboards, and service stations.
