Low income Santa Ana residents will be given preference, including those with <br />barriers to employment. The program components will be delivered either in person or remotely. The Santa Ana <br />WORK Center will provide an employment training program for approximately too youth ages 16 to 19 years aid. <br />Program will include workshops and training that will increase self-sufficiency, independent living skills, resume <br />writing, job coaching, Job Search, Job retention, and providing youth with some valuable paid work experience. <br />More of the youth in Santa Ana are finding themselves in need of a program that will help to develop their self- <br />esteem, help their economic situation during the pandemic, and provide them with the soft skills necessary to <br />become productive adults in society. The requestto have CDBG funds pay solely for staff cost will allow our <br />leveraged non-federal funds to pay for the remainder of the program cost. <br />Over the grant period, the Santa Ana Youth Employment program will achieve the following goals and outcomes: <br />1) Recruit a minimum of 100 new COVID-19 affected Youth and provide comprehensive services to them, <br />2) 80% of youth will receive a at least S of the following workshop in Employment Readiness Skills Works and <br />Life skills: Resume writing, Interviewing Skills, Financial Literacy, lob Search <br />Communication, Time Management, Job Success, Financial Literacy, Interview Preparation, Managing <br />Change, Stress Relief Strategies, On the Job Success, Job Cover Letters, Working in Teams or Planning for <br />Your Future <br />3) Each Program completer will have a pre and post program survey conducted, <br />4) Participants wishing to further their education or workforce training will be referred to W IOA training youth <br />programs as appropriate. <br />Staff included in the budget are: <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
