SECTION 2 SCOPE OF SERVICES AND SCHEDULE <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The tasks described below are listed in the RFP and the adjacent WBS <br />expands on those tasks with additional activities in more detail. The WBS <br />is also used for the design schedule and cost breakdown developed for <br />this proposal. The added detail makes it easier to manage the project and <br />quickly identify any areas that vary from the planned budget and schedule. <br />RFP No. 20-154 <br />Santiago Park Main Street Entrance Design <br />KEYFACTORS <br />■ Approach based on knowledge of <br />urban park design components <br />• Awareness of the community and <br />need for effective solutions <br />■ Insights gathered by project manager <br />and other team members from prior <br />projects in urban areas <br />• In-house experts at FEMA floodplain <br />We are proposing to prepare the drawings at V=20' scale with one sheet modeling and impacts <br />adequate to cover the project area. The WBS is also used for the <br />design schedule and cost breakdown developed for this <br />proposal. <br />TASK 0 — PROJECT ADMINISTRATION <br />The H&A Team will establish the basis for the project task <br />scopes, budgets and schedules and the overall project <br />monitoring process at the start of the project with City input <br />to ensure City staff will receive the information needed as <br />it happens. <br />TASK 1 — PRE -DESIGN <br />Kick-off Meeting <br />Immediately upon receipt of Notice to Proceed, we will <br />schedule a Project Kick-off Meeting between key members <br />of the project team and the City staff. H&A will prepare the <br />agenda and any handouts and also prepare the meeting <br />minutes. This meeting will be attended by the H&A project <br />manager and project engineer to initiate the project and <br />discuss the following: detailed scope and applicable <br />criteria; special project concerns and/or constraints; <br />schedule milestone dates for submittals and meetings; <br />obtain pertinent project information, including As -built <br />drawings and Utility Maps.
