EXHIBIT A <br />Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPF OF WORK <br />14r1MI p OMOrILEAâ–º`M <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />TESTING AND SPECIAL INSPECTION SERVICES <br />RFP NO. 20-111 <br />INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND <br />L,nder the City of Santa's Capital Improvement Program, a number of construction projects will <br />lake place in die next few year. I hese projects include ,,(reel pavemenl, trarlic signals, <br />underground utilities, buildings, bridges and park litcility improvements- The total value of <br />construction is estimated to exceed S100 million. <br />In order to maintain high quality orcons(-uclion, the Cily intends to relain testing and inspection <br />firms to provide quality assurance services for those prqjcets- The scicctcd firms arc expected to <br />provide testing and inspections for construction activities involving grading, soils, base material, <br />concrete, masonry, asphalt concrete, structural steel, reinforcing steel, painting and to provide <br />other quality assurance services when required. <br />The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from quality control consulting linos for the <br />required services. The selected consultant is expected to ester into art at;rectnent with the City to <br />provide services on an as -needed basis. <br />Prime consultant mark -tips for sub -consultant work will nut he allowed - <br />All proposals, plans, drawings, specifications, estimates, grant applications, modeling, studies. <br />presentations, and/or reports will be subject to the final approval and satisfaction of the City- The <br />scicctcd Consultants must have thec expertise, cxperieicc, and demon arated resoutces available to <br />perform the work described in this RFP. <br />The City desires to enter into Agrecancatts with multiple top-ranking firms for an initial three <br />yeat term- with a City option to exercise one ( I ), two (2)-year extension period- The annual amount <br />to be expended under the Agreement will vary at the City'., discretion and will be dependent on <br />available fitnding. <br />City Council Gity of Santa Ana RgR 20-ft21 7/6/2021 <br />Page Al-1 <br />
