SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The rcquircd scrvr:cs shall uicludc, bul not be hinilcd to. the following: <br />♦ Provide field inspections and compaction tests for grading, trench backfill and asphalt <br />concrete pavement construction according to the project special provisions, the Standard <br />Speciticatio ns for Public Works Construction (`Gruen Book") and. Caltrans Standard <br />Specifications- Subtnit daily licld reports to the City and a final report after work k <br />completed. <br />♦ Provide inspections for installation of precast and cast in -place concrete, welding, high <br />strength holts, ,&uctural steel, masonry, painting and other types of work in accordance <br />with thc. Cali l'ornia Building Codc (CBC) and the contract dOCLInICntS_ Submit field rcpoi is <br />to the City immediately after inspection are completed. All deputy inspecturs shall register <br />with the City's Planning and Building Agency prior to Start inspection. <br />♦ Perform rests on various construction materials as required by the ('try. <br />• Available tests may include the following: <br />oMix Designs <br />o Concrete <br />o Concrete Blocks <br />Brick Masonry <br />(i Masonry Prisms <br />O Mortar and Grout <br />o Fireproofing <br />o Soils and Aggregates <br />o As Concrete <br />o Reinforcing Steel <br />o F.nvironnnenlal <br />♦ hi,pectors who perform work in confined areas or at elevated levels shall be certified or <br />trained for confined space and tall protection. <br />♦ Recommend testing method on defective work and advise the City of acceptance standards. <br />♦ Provide source inspection for concrete and asphalt concrete at mixing plants, and <br />inspection for other materials at their sonu-ec as rcquircd by the proicet specifications. <br />♦ Provide utha- quality control sclvices as regttesicd by the City. <br />♦ Field reports shall be submitted daily to the City.
