• Information Dissemination— whether verbal or written information, these short one-on-one <br />or group (in -person or virtual) interactions are intended to transmit key health messages or a <br />brief introduction to specific community resources. <br />• Door-to-Door—Promotores organize systematic door-to-door outreach in pre -identified <br />neighborhoods and apartment complexes. They work in pairs and bring information with <br />them on a given topic and encourage householders to connect to services and program in <br />their area. LHA has had tremendous success using this method of outreach because it is <br />effective in seeking out the individuals and families who are most marginalized, underserved, <br />and who may not know where to find resources or how to gain access to them. Before <br />conducting this outreach, Promotores take a thorough inventory of services within the local <br />communities. This allows them to provide referrals to local resources, since transportation is <br />often a barrier to accessing services for many communities in Central Orange County. <br />• Community Events—LHA participates in community wellness events and health fairs <br />throughout Orange County to promote and provide health and wellness information. Our <br />community faces numerous cultural, linguistic, and financial barriers to access health care <br />services. LHA partners with community -based organizations, municipalities, school districts, <br />local colleges and universities, and business districts to take health information, services, and <br />resources into communities, especially in medically underserved regions of the county, <br />where individuals may have limited transportation to seek out services or where there are <br />gaps in culturally and linguistically concordant care for residents. <br />• Creative Outreach —Leveraging popular education techniques that uplift creativity, <br />resilience, and commitment of local communities to health practices, Promotores implement <br />educational art displays, distribute culturally resonant items with health messaging, introduce <br />
