of waste for the purpose of recovery, and/or includes the use of conveyor belts, sorting <br />lines, or volume reduction equipment, or as otherwise defined in 14 CCR Section <br />17402(a)(20). <br />1.63 Prohibited Container Contaminants <br />"Prohibited Container Contaminants" means the following: (i) Discarded Materials <br />placed in the Source Separated Recyclable Materials Container that are not identified <br />as acceptable Source Separated Recyclable Materials for the City's Source Separated <br />Recyclable Materials Container; (ii) Discarded Materials placed in the Source Separated <br />Organic Waste Container that are not identified as acceptable Source Separated <br />Container Organic Waste for the City s Source Separated Organic Waste Container; (iii) <br />Discarded Materials placed in the Refuse Container that are acceptable Source <br />Separated Recyclable Materials and/or Source Separated Organic Waste to be placed <br />in City's Source Separated Organic Waste Container and/or Source Separated <br />Recyclable Materials Container; and (iv) Excluded Waste placed in any Container. <br />1.64 Rate Year <br />"Rate Year" means the period July 1 to June 30, for each year during the Term of this <br />Agreement. <br />1.65 Recycling <br />"Recycling" means Collecting, sorting, cleansing, treating, Processing and reconstituting <br />Recyclable Materials for the purpose of reuse or resale. <br />1.66 Recyclable Materials <br />"Recyclable Materials" means those Discarded Materials that the Generators set out in <br />Recyclables Containers for Collection for the purpose of Recycling by the Contractor <br />and that exclude Excluded Waste, No Discarded Materials shall be considered <br />Recyclable Materials unless such material is separated from Organic Materials, and <br />Solid Waste. Recyclable Materials shall include, but not be limited to: newspaper <br />(including inserts, coupons, and store advertisements); mixed paper (including office <br />paper, computer paper, magazines, junk mail, catalogs, brown paper bags, brown <br />paper, paperboard, paper egg cartons, telephone books, grocery bags, colored paper, <br />construction paper, envelopes, legal pad backings, shoe boxes, gabletop beverage <br />August 17, 2021 18 City of Santa Ana <br />
