City of Santa Ana I Statement of Qua lirca tie ns Water Resources Panel 6ui I ding Services 1 10 <br />Piiholo Water Treatment Plant Control System <br />Improvements <br />Piiholo Water Treatment Plant Control System Improvements <br />This project upgraded the PLC controls and SCADA system at an existing <br />3.2 million gallons per day Joni capacity water treatment facility required <br />to remain in continuous operation. Trimax also <br />-S� replaced the existing Wonderware SCADA system with Ignition by Inductive <br />- - - - _ Automation. Because the water treatment facility was required to remain <br />operational, with specific treatment process downtime limited to a maximum <br />—I of four hours on any given day, Trimax installed the new control system and <br />-� SCADA in parallel with the existing systems and limited all downtime during <br />f _ testing to less than four hours. Once the new system testing was complete, the <br />old controls were removed, and new ones installed to final physical locations. <br />lao Surface Water Treatment Plant Upgrades <br />This $21.5 million project constructed a new surface water treatment plant in <br />IF <br />central Maui with a micro -filtration treatment process. The plant has clean- <br />- - in -place four filter trains and backwash, and a maximum capacity of 3.2 mgd. <br />®®®® a The control system operates raw water in -feed from a local stream, filtration, <br />- _ chemical dosing, chlorine generator, chlorine contact tank, 3 MG water storage <br />s tank, and pumping into the water distribution system. <br />I e s s <br />Trimax upgraded the existing control system to fully -redundant Allen-Bradley <br />ControlLogix processors with 12 large remote I/O panels, including more than <br />6001/0 system points, Trimax also implemented a new Ignition SCADA system <br />in a fully -redundant configuration. <br />TRIMAXIa-E -_- S:,UfaNy waterand Waste Water Prej=Cr Qua hhcations <br />
