Community Benefit & Sustainable Business Practice Plan Local hiring: Speedy Weedy Santa Ana, LLC is committed to job creation in Orange County. We have a goal a minimum of 50% of our employees from Orange County. Currently, dozens of our employees reside in the City of Santa Ana. During future hiring rounds, Speedy Weedy Santa Ana will utilize local job fairs for hiring. Additionally, Speedy Weedy Santa Ana will use its best efforts to retain services of qualified contractors and suppliers who are located in Santa Ana or employ residents of Santa Ana. We are committed to local sourcing, including contractors, local labor, materials and anything else needed to make a positive impact on the City of Santa Ana. Sustainable business practices: Paid sick leave Our company sick leave policy outlines our company's provisions for employees who become sick and need to be absent from work. Due to COVID- 19 we are giving emergency paid leave to those that are affected along with their regularly paid sick time. When employees want to use their sick time, they should notify their supervisor as soon as possible either through email or phone. They should also inform the supervisor for how long they' all be absent (if possible) or report daily for every day of sick leave. Local charitable donations: Speedy Weedy Santa Ana, LLC will identify a different local charity each year and donate $5,000.00. We will look to our employees and customers to help decide what organizations are closest to their hearts such as The Wooden Floor, America On Track and Habitat for Humanity of Orange County and Mary's Kitchen. Public transportation reimbursement program for employees Employees are always encouraged to carpool and utilize public transportation to and from work. Beginning mid 2022, employees will receive full reimbursement for expenses incurred utilizing public transportation. Green buildingpractices Speedy Weedy Santa Ana, LLC would like to explore installing solar on our building. Speedy Weedy Santa Ana also uses all energy efficient appliances and ensure recycling of all card board boxes, plastic, cans, bottles, etc. Youth program and youth education donations As a company, Speedy Weedy Santa Ana, values giving back to the community.
