Contractor Responsibilities <br />1. GENERAL <br />1.1 Definitions: <br />"Director's Representative" shall mean the Executive Director of Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services designated representative. <br />"SAPRF" shall mean Santa Ana Park and Recreation Facilities. <br />"Pavement Cleaning" shall mean the practice of removing foreign materials from paved and/or <br />other hard surfaces. <br />"Infectious materials" shall mean any fluid and/or instrument used to inject or withdraw bodily <br />fluids. <br />"Hardscape" shall mean any resilient surface other than turf or planting beds, such as but not <br />limited to curbs, gutters, sidewalks, decomposed pathways, asphalt pavement, mowstrips, etc. <br />1.2 Scheduling of Work -The Contractor shall provide specific pavement cleaning and infectious waste <br />removal/disposal maintenance between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday. The Contractor shall provide other pavement cleaning maintenance during hours approved <br />by the Director's Representative. The schedule may be modified only with the Director's <br />Representative consent. Maintenance operations that generate excess noise cannot begin before <br />8:00 a.m. <br />1.3 The Contractor shall establish schedules of "routine work" to be followed in the performance of <br />this contract. In addition to the Contractor submitting the Monthly Park Services Inspector's <br />Inspection Schedule and other required monthly reports, the Contractor shall submit weekly <br />schedules listing the work tasks, crew performing the task, and the projected hours to complete the <br />task. The schedules shall be entailed to Director's Representative by Thursday at 4:OOpm for the <br />upcoming week. Any changes in scheduling shall be reported in writing 48 hours before the <br />proposed change and must be approved by the Director's Representative. The schedule shall <br />include days of the week and what person/crew will be performing specific work in accordance <br />with the specification. <br />1.4 Local Office -The Contractor shall maintain a physical office within the 714 area code (local <br />office). The local office shall be open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a <br />company representative present at all times. Answering services or mobile telephones will not be <br />considered a local office. <br />1.5 Outside the Scope of Work - Damage or malfunction to property, including but not limited to, <br />physical property, equipment, and materials, by any of the following may be considered outside <br />the scope of this Agreement: <br />
