Raw Water System Master Plan Phase 1, Valley Water, CA.
Project Manager for hydraulic modeling of raw water transmission
and two treated water distribution systems using InfoWater. Valley
Water provides water to Santa Clara County residents and business via
a complex network of distribution facilities, including three pumping
plants, 94 miles of raw water pipelines (including tunnels), the San
Felipe portion of the Central Valley Project imported water pipeline,
creeks, diversion dams, ditches, and canals. The raw water system
conveys about 35 billion gallons of water annually. The District's treated
water is delivered to water retailers through a complex transmission
and delivery system consisting of 11 treated water pipelines and 27
customer turnouts. Technical Lead and review of various aspects of the
project including, development of operational parameters, performing
a demand analysis for raw and treated water hydraulic model
development, build and calibration of raw water and West treated water
systems, developing, and analyzing multiple scenarios for the raw water
system to facilitate future phases of the District's Master Plan,
Bluebird Booster Station (Vern Gillett) Upgrade, City of
Glendora, CA. Senior Engineer responsible for design support of Vern
Gillett pump station upgrade to accommodate fire flows in Zone 28.
Several pump sizes were modeled with various operational and demand
scenarios while meeting several design criteria for parameters like
flows, suction pressures, and pipeline velocity to provide the City with
an optimum pump design.
Water Source Capacity Feasibility Study, Sheep Creek Water
Company, CA. Senior Project Engineer responsible for review of water
consumption and production data and relevant documents to perform
water supply and demand analysis in compliance with the State Water
Board's Compliance Order and develop alternatives to increase water
supply reliability and reduce water demand.
Water Distribution System Hydraulic Analysis Update, City of
Vernon, CA. Took over role of Project Manager and Senior Engineer
to complete model update. Work involved various systems operations
analysis to convert a system operated via elevated tank to a closed
system (without tank) using InfoWater. Preliminary control settings for
wells and boosters to operate as closed -system for City to troubleshoot
in field was established using the updated model. Conducted an 8-hour
orientation training on InfoWater for City Staff on updated model.
North River Farms Water Supply Assessment Study, City of
Oceanside, CA. Project Manager as well as Co -Author of the Water
Supply Assessment Study & Verification of Supply on behalf of the
City of Oceanside for a 689-unit planned development called North
River Farms to be compliant with SB610/221 requirements. Work also
involved verifying fire flow requirements for the project site using the
City's hydraulic model.
Ocean Kemp Water Supply Assessment Study, City of
Oceanside,CA. Project Manager of the Water Supply Assessment
Study & Verification of Supply on behalf of the City of Oceanside for
a Commercial called Ocean Kemp to be compliant with SB610/221
requirements.
As -Needed Water & Sewer Hydraulic Modeling Services, City of
Oceanside, CA. Project Manager and Technical Reviewer for various
sewer and water impact studies.
As -Needed Water Distribution Modeling Services, City of
Oceanside, CA. Project Manager, Technical Reviewer and Senior Project
Engineer for various tasks related to system operations changes, design
support, and new development related impact studies.
As -Needed Hydraulic Modeling and Analysis Services,
Olivenhain Municipal Water District, CA. Project Manager, Technical
Reviewer and Senior Project Engineer for various tasks related to system
operations changes, design support, and new development related
impact studies. Recent work involved fire flow simulation studies,
analyzing aspects of the District's recycled water system, developing a
water sample map in GIS.
Sewer Model Update, City of Belmont, CA. Project Manager
and Technical Reviewer for collection system model update using
InfoSWMM by Innovyze. The model was updated with new sewer
development loads and infrastructure. Peaking factors were derived and
updated from Ardurra's flow monitoring data from an 1/1 study in order
to refine model calibration. The updated model was used to recommend
projects in the City's capital improvement program to mitigate capacity
deficiencies.
Sewer System Master Plan & Asset Management, City of El
Monte, CA. Technical Reviewer for Sewer System Master Plan and Asset
Management Plan utilizing InfoSWMM and InfoMasterto determine
capital infrastructure projects using a risk -based approach.
MARB & Non -Cantonment Collection System Rehabilitation
Plan, Western Municipal Water District, CA. Senior Project
Engineer involved in investigating the quality and quantity of
groundwater infiltration entering the District's sewer system. Ardurra
provided recommendations on improvements to the collection system
to reduce groundwater infiltration by employing various data analysis
tools within GIS and InfoWater. Current work involves providing
recommendations to mitigate PFAs contamination.
