As part of a five year On -Call Services with the City of Santa Ana Water <br />Resource Department. Huitt-Zollars is providing Plans, Specifications <br />and Estimates (PS&E) for several projects in the City of Santa Ana. <br />• The Sanitary Sewer Septic to Gravity Conversion Project <br />proposes to construct 8" sewer in a neighborhood near 17th Avenue <br />and Tustin Avenue. Huitt-Zollars in providing CEQA documentation <br />and PS&E for over 2500 linear feet of proposed 8" sewer, service <br />laterals, and manholes. <br />• Lacy Neighborhood Water Replacement Project proposes to <br />replace over 15,000 linear feet of water line and services. The project <br />is part of a citywide program that proposes to replace and increase <br />capacity of over 30,000 If of waterline per year. Huitt-Zollars is preparing <br />PS&E that include topography and temporary high water lines. <br />• French Park Water Replacement Project proposes to replace <br />over 15,000 linear feet of water line and services. The project is <br />part of a citywide program that proposes to replace and increase <br />capacity of over 30,000 If of water line per year. Huitt-Zollars is preparing <br />PS&E that include topography and temporary high water lines. <br />Our MS4 Permit expertise has helped streamline the implementation <br />of Public Works improvements to the Maximum Extent Practicable. <br />Notably: <br />Lincoln Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation, ADA, WQMP, and <br />Perimeter Wall: Replaced 8" sewer and 8" water on old failing <br />system along Lincoln Avenue, including laterals to the right- <br />of-way. This project also included updated sidewalks for ADA <br />compliance, a water quality management plan, and geotechnical <br />and perimeter wall services. <br />COMPONENTS: <br />PS&E <br />Paving <br />Domestic Water Improvements <br />Sewer Improvements <br />Environmental <br />CLIENT CONTACT: <br />City of Santa Ana <br />Armando Fernandez <br />Senior Civil Engineer, <br />Public Works I Water Resources <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, M-35 <br />Santa Ana, CA 92802 <br />714.647.3316 <br />Due to utility constraints in the parkway, an offsite mitigation alternative was designed by treating an <br />equivalent volume in an adjacent street. <br />Industrial Streets Pavement Rehabilitation, WQMP: Replacement and rehabilitation of 12" sewer and <br />10" water that included v gutter on each side of the street and full pavement replacement on the street and <br />parking areas adjacent to right-of-way. Other services include the WQMP and bioswale in parkway. <br />An alternative pavement rehabilitation section was evaluated to minimize WQMP requirements. Instead, <br />an offsite mitigation alternative was proposed by treating an equivalent volume when the implementation <br />of BMPs is feasible. <br />Septic to Gravity Sewer Conversion, Environmental Compliance, and WQMP: Huitt-Zollars added 8" <br />sewer to an old neighborhood with septic tanks. The addition of sewer allowed a conversion to gravity sewer. <br />Other services include 8" water replacement, street light replacement, WQMP, environmental documents, <br />and annexation from Tustin to Santa Ana. <br />The project was deemed Non -Priority WQMP per the conditions set forth in the Model WQMP, as the <br />scope does not modify the line and grade of the storm drainage conveyance. <br />HU ZOLLARS City of Santa On -Call Water Resources Engineering Services RFP No. 22-002 9 <br />
