<br />On -Call Consulting Services for PFAS Treatment
<br />Systems Design I Orange County Water District
<br />Santa Ana, California I Project Manager
<br />Jim is leading a similar staff and subconsultant team
<br />for four wellhead treatment sites for the City of Santa
<br />Ana. Work includes preliminary design, final design,
<br />bid phase support, engineering services during
<br />construction, and part time inspection services. Sites
<br />include Well 40 currently in construction, Well 38
<br />finishing final design, Well 31 in predesign, and Wells
<br />27 and 28 in preliminary design.
<br />San Fernando Basin Groundwater Remediation

<br />Jim conducted the independent QA/QC review for this
<br />progressive design -build project of two new
<br />groundwater treatment facilities of 38 MGD and 25
<br />MGD. The project is part of a comprehensive, long-
<br />term plan being pursued by the LADWP to replenish
<br />and store contaminated groundwater at sites across
<br />the 175-square-mile San Fernando Basin.
<br />Suburban Water Systems I Benicia Water Treatment
<br />Plant* I Whittier, California I Project Engineer/

<br />Jim conducted a water supply investigation and plan
<br />for Suburban Water Systems that was followed by the
<br />design of a 14-MGD groundwater treatment system
<br />for the USEPA as part of the San Gabriel Basin
<br />Superfund Cleanup program. Process trains included
<br />air stripping, vapor -phase Granular Activated Carbon
<br />(GAC) treatment and steam regeneration of the GAC
<br />for several groundwater contaminants Including TCE,
<br />PCE, and CTC. The design also included a 14-MGD
<br />pump station.
<br />Perchlorate Treatment Plant Design -Build* I City of
<br />Pomona I Pomona, California I Design QC Manager
<br />Jim was the design QC manager for a high -capacity
<br />single -pass ion exchange (IX) plant at the City AEP
<br />facility.. along with new bypass and pumping facilities
<br />upstream and downstream of AEP treatment. The
<br />project included permitting; providing a bypass of the
<br />existing AEP systems for approximately 3.7 MGD
<br />consisting of booster pumps, bag filters and
<br />associated piping, connections, instrumentation and
<br />controls: and combining effluents from the new
<br />bypass and AEP systems and directing a total of 16.6
<br />MGD to the new perchlorate treatment plant,
<br />including booster pumps, associated piping,
<br />connections, instrumentation. monitoring and
<br />controls.
<br />Air Stripper/Nitrate Blending for Wells 7 and 8B* I City
<br />of Pomona I Pomona, California I Principal -in -Charge
<br />Jim assisted in the preliminary design report and
<br />conducted all design reviews for facilities. including a
<br />chloramination disinfection system housed in a
<br />chemical storage and feed pump building, wet well
<br />modifications, two existing low -lift booster pumps and
<br />space for a third pump, motor controls.
<br />instrumentation. SCADA system integrationand
<br />miscellaneous site piping. He also coordinated with
<br />the California DHS to bring the project on-line
<br />successfully.
