Students will learn about models for analysis and control of the <br />management function in a company or other organization. Students develop critical skills and master material relating to the fundamental <br />role played by operations in the competitive performance of an organization. Among the critical <br />skills and areas of mastery, students develop are process analysis, process design, process <br />improvement, supply chain management, capacity planning & control, inventory management, <br />quality planning, quality control, strategic improvement techniques and risk management. The <br />topics covered include both strategic issues and practical applications. Among the topics are <br />forecasting, product and service design, capacity planning, management of quality and quality <br />control, inventory management, scheduling, supply chain management, and project <br />management. This course includes a clear presentation of the concepts, tools, and applications <br />of the field of operations management. Coverage includes business ethics; <br />and Responsibilities <br />individual versus societal interests; labor and employment issues; consumer protection; <br />discrimination and diversity; the natural environment; politics, public policy, and government <br />regulation of business. Students will learn prevailing regulations that <br />Management <br />govern human resource management. Strategies for effective on -boarding, performance <br />evaluation, management, and developing staff are also addressed. <br />Prerequisite: None <br />40 Hours Lecture <br />4.0 Quarter Credits <br />MGT410: Customer <br />In this course, students learn how to meet and exceed their customer's expectations. Students <br />Service <br />will review customer service philosophy and techniques.
