91 <br />Computer information Department <br />Academic Associate's in Computer Business Applications <br />Program Description and Learnet meets the educational and professional needs of our diverse student body in a <br />Objectives supportive, caring environment that provides the technical skills and knowledge necessary <br />for employment advancement in today's job market. The Academic Associate's in <br />Computer Business Applications program covers a broad spectrum of computer <br />p applications such as computer concepts with business applications, Word, Excel, <br />Computerized Accounting, Database Applications, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook. <br />Students will learn to handle accounting functions and to create documents, reports, <br />spreadsheets, presentations and handle accounting functions. The program also includes <br />courses in business to provide students with an introduction into the field of business, <br />business mathematics, and management communications. The program is designed to <br />develop the student into a versatile and proficient entry-level computerized office <br />operator. This major is filled with a variety of applications and experiences that will lay the <br />foundation for a fulfilling academic and professional career. The Academic Associate's in <br />Computer Business Applications will be awarded upon completion of the requirements for <br />the diploma, plus completion of the graduation requirements as described in the catalog. <br />Courses are offered both on campus and online. <br />Program Learning Outcomes <br />Upon successful completion of the Computer Business Applications program, the student <br />should be able to do the following: <br />• Describe the concepts and operations of the main components of Microsoft <br />Office: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. <br />• Choose the appropriate application package and apply these Office applications <br />to a range of business and personal problems both standalone and integrated <br />with each other <br />• Demonstrate written and oral communication skills to logically and persuasively <br />support points of view or findings and express solutions to business needs <br />• Apply critical thinking skills for computer -based access, analysis, and <br />presentation of information <br />• Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team in designing and implementing a <br />computerized solution to a problem <br />Academic Associate Upon successful completion of the program, an Academic Associate Degree will be issued <br />Degree to the student. <br />Date on April 4, 2023 <br />
