BUS202: Management This course presents the principles of communication within an organization, both verbal <br />Communications and written. Topics include the skills and procedures for conducting research and the <br />writing of a well -organized and well -developed report as well as how to effectively <br />communicate across all levels of an organization. Upon successful completion of the course, <br />students should be able to: <br />• Discuss the importance of various management communication strategies in the <br />business environment and its effects <br />• Evaluate and provide feedback using verbal and written skills <br />• Produce argumentative, descriptive, and narrative texts relevant to business <br />• Recognize the effects of non-verbal communication <br />• Develop skills to communicate strategically in an organization <br />• Adapt visual aids in presentations for effective communication <br />• Write and edit texts understanding basic use of citations in written texts <br />Prerequisite: None <br />40 Hours Lecture <br />4.0 Quarter Credits <br />CIT101: Windows This course surveys the field of computing and serves as an orientation to computer <br />concepts and terminology. It includes the history of the field and the social implications of <br />widespread use of computers. The development of computers, as well as their current <br />design, is described. The concepts of data acquisition, storage, internal representation, and <br />processing into useful information are shown. Designed for new computer users, this <br />course will teach students how to organize files and applications, customize their desktop, <br />and create shortcuts to their favorite websites. Special exercises cover everything from <br />Office Basics to using online help and troubleshooting wizards. Students will learn to create <br />and organize folders, locate documents and programs, create special shortcuts with <br />Windows Explorer, and find utilities. Topics include: <br />• Windows Desktop, Taskbar, Control Panel and Windows Explorer <br />• Start and Programs Favorite menus <br />• Improving speed and efficiency, shortcuts and file management <br />• Windows Help and Troubleshooter and help and find features <br />• Special device and hardware capabilities <br />• File and disk management techniques and Recycle Bin <br />• Find and Quick View utilities <br />Prerequisite: None <br />20 Hours Lecture <br />20 Hours Lab <br />3.0 Quarter Credits <br />Last Revision Date on April 4, 2023 <br />
