96 <br />CIT102: Windows 11 Students will learn to create and organize folders; locate documents and programs; create <br />special shortcuts with Windows Explorer and find utilities. This course introduces you to <br />Windows advanced features and tools. Learn to use backup and recovery, format a disk, <br />use Disk Scan and file defragmentation tools. The class concludes with a demonstration of <br />Windows installation, upgrade, and configuration techniques. Topics include: <br />• Improving speed and efficiency <br />• Shortcuts and file management <br />• Windows Help and Troubleshooter and help and find features <br />• Special device and hardware capabilities <br />• File and disk management techniques and Recycle Bin <br />• Find and Quick View utilities <br />• Windows installation and upgrade <br />Prerequisite: CIT101 must be taken before CIT102 <br />20 Hours Lecture <br />20 Hours Lab <br />3.0 Quarter Credits <br />CIT103: Word Processing I This course provides a thorough introduction to Word and builds basic skills needed to <br />create, modify and print letters and document, reports, production of boilerplates and <br />integration of mailing lists and form letters. This course provides an in-depth look at <br />Microsoft Word for Windows. Topics include: <br />• Creating and Saving documents <br />• Moving and Copying text <br />• Changing the appearance of text (formatting) <br />• Headers and Footers <br />• Printing Documents <br />• Creating and Using Templates <br />• Sorting paragraphs and Tabular information <br />Prerequisite: None <br />60 Hours Lecture <br />20 Hours Lab <br />7.0 Quarter Credits <br />CIT104: Word Processing This course teaches you how successfully create and work with templates; open, navigate, <br />11 and modify a document; create documents that incorporate columns of varying sizes and <br />styles; organize document content using tables; and create a mail merge project and review <br />documents using the Review Ribbon. This course provides further in-depth look at <br />Microsoft Word for Windows.
