118 <br />Course Descriptions <br />N201: Windows Server I This course discusses what is new in the world of networking and how System Center can <br />help manage Windows Server. The course also provides insight into industry trends, <br />performance levels, and network performance. And this course is intended for IT <br />professionals who are interested In expanding their knowledge base and technical skills <br />about Windows Server. In this course, students learn how to install, upgrade, and migrate <br />to Windows Server. Students then configure for network connectivity, security, <br />maintenance, and mobile computing. Most of these professionals use some version of <br />Windows client at their workplace and are looking at new and better ways to perform some <br />of the current functions. Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able <br />to: <br />• Perform a clean installation of Windows Server, upgrade Windows Server versions, <br />and migrate user -related data and settings from an earlier version of Windows. <br />• Configure disks, partitions, volumes, and device drivers in Windows Server. <br />• Configure wired and wireless network connectivity in Windows Server. <br />• Secure Windows Server deployments. <br />• Optimize and maintain the performance and reliability in Windows Server. <br />• Configure mobile computing and remote access settings for a Windows Server <br />computer. <br />Prerequisite: None <br />N202; Windows Server 11 This course is intended for IT Professionals who are interested in the knowledge and skills <br />necessary to plan and implement a Windows Server and Windows Admin Center <br />environment. It incorporates both the planning of the server infrastructure and key aspects <br />of the Implementation, management and maintenance of Active Directory and Network <br />Infrastructure. It covers the most important job tasks for Server Administrators who are <br />responsible for the planning, operations, and day-to-day maintenance of Windows Server <br />in the enterprise. Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to: <br />• Plan Windows Server deployments and upgrades <br />• Plan server management and delegated administration strategies <br />• Plan and provision Application servers including Web services, presentation <br />virtualization and application virtualization <br />• Plan and provision data and storage <br />• Plan and implement an update management strategy using Windows Server <br />Update Services (WSUS) <br />• Plan and implement high availability <br />• Plan for server performance and event monitoring <br />Prerequisite: N2O1 <br />Revision Date on April 4, 2023 <br />
