The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency (PWA) role is to plan, build, and repair capital improvement projects in the community, including infrastructure, right-of-way, and utility systems as outlined in the various City master plans and Community's General Plan. The following section includes an overview of RICK's specific approach to Santa Ana's On -Call contract and a summary of our corporate approach to project management. Both practices were developed over 50 years of providing similar on -call engineering services to municipalities throughout Southern California. annrnach to On -Call Cc Our role in supporting PWA is to act as an extension of your staff to facilitate your successful completion of your capital improvement projects. RICK understands the purpose and objectives of an on -call service contract. Throughout our company's history, we have successfully performed various task order services as part of on -call contracts for many municipalities and government agencies in our region. We thoroughly understand the process and the importance of not only the on -call contract, but the task order execution, to meet financial goals and schedule deadlines. On -call service contracts may require multiple disciplines, which requires smooth coordination and transparent communication while managing various task orders simultaneously. Based on our experience with similar traffic engineering as -needed contracts, RICK has developed a successful approach. The process is outlined in two phases: "Planning & Staffing" and "Performance." Communication / Understanding • Project Goals In the Planning & Staffing Phase, the RICK Team will: ♦ Meet with the City to understand project goals and objectives, and perform background research and a site visit to clearly identify the constraints, conditions, and full scope of the task order. ♦ Assign appropriate project staff to support the Project Manager and determine whether subconsultants will be required. All team members will have relevant experience on similar tasks and be available to respond based on the scope and schedule. ♦ Review and discuss with City staff any stakeholder concerns and project goals.
