Tardiness/Leave Early <br />All students are required to sign attendance rosters and be ready for instruction prior to <br />the start of class. Students that are not present or ready for instruction before the start <br />of class will be considered tardy. If a student is tardy or leaves early five or more times for <br />the scheduled classes of the program for any grading period will be placed on Probation. <br />Students will be notified in writing and they may be terminated from the program. If <br />minimum tardiness /leave early requirements are met during the probation period, the <br />student is automatically released from probation and no further action is required. If <br />minimum tardiness/leave early requirements are not met during the proba- tion period, <br />the school will schedule a meeting with student regarding disciplinary action up to and <br />including termination of the program. Students are responsible for making up the missed <br />material covered or exams during the time missed due to tardiness or leaving early. <br />Warning Notification <br />A student receives a warning notification prior to being placed on any kind of probation; <br />the notification is received verbally and in writing by the Campus Director and Student <br />Services for the following session.The notification is documented and placed in their <br />Academic File. <br />Make-up Work <br />Students that attend NTMATraining Centers' Machinist Training Program will be required <br />to make up all assignments, exams, or other work missed as the result of any absence.The <br />student must make arrangements with the instructor to ensure that all work is made-up <br />before the end of each module in which the work was missed. <br />Arrangements to take a missed exam must be made with the instructors within two days <br />of returning from an absence.All arrangements are subject to approval by the Campus <br />Director. <br />Conduct <br />Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to a professional <br />work environment.Violations of the school's student conduct policy include, but are not <br />limited to, the following: destroying or damaging school property; use of any illegal drugs <br />or alcohol while on school property or attending school while under the influence of <br />illegal drugs or alcohol; cheating on a school examination; exhibiting violence, <br />insubordination, or inappropriate language or behavior toward any school staff or another <br />student.All students are subject to random drug testing. Cell phones and/or other <br />electronic devices are not allowed during class/shop time.
