WDM0522 Page 1 of 23 March 1, 2022 <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />FOR THE PROVISION OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING <br />AND WORK EXPERIENCE SERVICES <br /> <br />1. POPULATION TO BE SERVED <br />1.1 CONTRACTOR shall provide Vocational Training (VTR) and Work Experience <br />(WEX) Services to Participants referred by ADMINISTRATOR. The population <br />to be served, as defined in this Paragraph, shall hereinafter be referred to as <br />“PARTICIPANT/PARTICIPANTS.” PARTICIPANTS include individuals <br />determined by ADMINISTRATOR as eligible to receive VTR and/or WEX <br />Services and may include, but is not limited to, individuals who are required to <br />participate in, or who have voluntarily enrolled in the CalWORKs Welfare-to- <br />Work (CW/WTW) program. CONTRACTOR shall provide VTR and WEX <br />Services to assist PARTICIPANTS in achieving self-sufficiency by enhancing the <br />employability of PARTICIPANTS through engagement in employment <br />preparatory activities and employment. <br />1.2 PARTICIPANTS referred to VTR and/or WEX Services will meet criteria of <br />prevailing State statutes and program regulations, as required by <br />ADMINISTRATOR. <br />2. DEFINITIONS <br />2.1 America’s Job Center of California (AJCC): AJCC is a one-stop shop for workforce <br />services, providing a comprehensive range of no-cost employment and training <br />services for employers and job seekers. The AJCC is a network of local, state, <br />private, and public organizations offering a variety of services which brings <br />employers with job openings and qualified job seekers together at no cost. <br />2.2 CalWORKs: California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Act of 1997 <br />as described in California WIC Section 11200 et seq. CalWORKs is a program <br />administered by County Welfare Departments and provides cash assistance, case <br />management, job services, job training, and supportive services to assist
