Relevant Project Experience <br />Santa Ana Circulation Element <br />Update <br />Santa Ana, CA <br />IBI Group is leading the effort to update the City of Santa Ana <br />General Plan Circulation Element. As part of this project, IBI <br />Group is performing the following tasks: establishing Circulation <br />Element goals, objectives, and policies; evaluating impacts that <br />traffic growth will have on the circulation within the City and <br />recommending appropriate improvements to mitigate these <br />impacts; updating the objectives and policies for public transit, <br />bicycle, and pedestrian facilities; providing objectives and policies <br />for transportation demand management, intelligent transportation <br />systems, traffic calming measures; and providing modeling and <br />analysis of alternative future network assumptions. <br />An important component of this study is updating the Circulation <br />Element to comply with the State requirements for Complete <br />Streets planning, which require that roadways accommodate all <br />users from autos to transit to bicyclists and pedestrians. The City's <br />Bicycle Master Plan will also be updated as part of this study. <br />OC Streetcar <br />Orange County, CA <br />IBI Group completed the Land Use and Economic Development <br />components of a $144 million New Starts Grant application for <br />the Santa Ana — Garden Grove Fixed Guideway project with the <br />Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). The proposed <br />streetcar project will bring greater mobility to the heart of Orange <br />County by broadening the reach of Orange County's backbone rail <br />system, and linking key employment and activity centers in Santa <br />Ana and Garden Grove to SARTC. The alignment of the streetcar <br />will also serve mature, densely populated, and ethnically diverse <br />cities, where 92.2 percent of residents are identified as a racial <br />or ethnic minority. GIS was utilized to extract and analyze spatial <br />data for the application, which included station area statistics, <br />demographics, and land use characteristics.
