This is a building that is in operation
year-round, minus the major holidays and is a focal point for the school District. Over
the course of the relationship, Envise has performed various projects for the District,
most recently with an HVAC and Lighting Upgrade project at Lynwood High School for
$7M. Many of the campus
facilities were suffering from aging equipment, causing failures in the heating and cooling
systems as well as issues with energy management and controls. As systems degraded, it
became nearly impossible to stay on top of the many operational challenges that arose
on a regular basis, along with outstanding deferred maintenance issues that required
resolution.
In order to address rising energy costs and alleviate the operational challenges, Envise
was hired to work with the college in developing the right solution for campus wide retro-commissioning and eciency
upgrades. The project scope included the design and construction of a new central utility plant with infrastructure piping
to connect 18 campus buildings to hot and chilled water, replacement and retrofit of the existing HVAC equipment
serving each building, a new campus -wide energy management system and additional efficiency upgrades.
Upon the completion of the Central Plant, Envise (formerly known as Southland Service) was brought in to perform the
preventative maintenance program. We have been performing the maintenance for the College ever since.
KEY STAFF: Craig Gonzalez - responsible for estimation and overall approach to the maintenance program and
continual client relationship management
Greg Gonta - responsible for overseeing service technicians performing service and providing support
Aubrey Leyva - responsible for overall account management to ensure we continue to deliver what we promise and
ensure that costs proper costs are accounted for each year
Amy Shanahan - Dispatcher for all service calls and management of service schedule
CONTACT: Joseph Dowling, Director, Maintenance and Operations
15744 Goldenwest Street, Huntington Beach, CA 1714.895.8158
DATES: Various; Current maintenance term September 2019-August 2024
TOTAL COSTS: Various; Current maintenance program cost is $409K
Envise Proposal for City of Santa Ana - Facility HVAC Service, Maintenance and Repairs 15
