Challenges have included existing utility <br />conflicts and the coordination with outside utility companies for <br />their existing utilities as they relate to the project. Our proactive <br />approach, constant communication including several meetings <br />prior to construction help facilitate and expedite permit reviews <br />and approvals, as well as schedule of work coordination. Some <br />representative projects include: <br />■ Orangewood Avenue Improvements. Contract <br />administration and construction management for this <br />multi -faceted road widening project on Orangewood Avenue <br />from State College Boulevard to the Santa Ana River. This <br />project spans a largely commercial area within proximity to <br />several freeways and highways along the south entrance to <br />Angel Stadium of Anaheim. This widening project consists <br />of electrical undergrounding with telecommunication lines <br />relocation, installation of new City of Anaheim and City of <br />Orange water mainline, traffic signal improvements, and <br />a new variable message board. Widening improvements <br />include roadway widening and paving, sidewalks, slough <br />walls, curbs and gutters, retaininglblocklsoundwalls, <br />driveways, cross gutters and spandrels, drainage <br />improvements, catch basins, WQMP BMP improvements, <br />Disney Resort -Style hardscape and landscaping, irrigation <br />improvements, and signing and striping. <br />■ Indiana Street Water Main Replacement. Contract <br />administration and construction management for one of <br />the City's first design -build projects, which consisted of the <br />construction of approximately 2,400 Ll= of 6-inch ductile iron <br />CL 52 zinc -coated water main, and 200 LF of 8-inch ductile <br />iron CL 52 zinc -coated water main located along Indiana <br />Street between Broadway and South Street. The project <br />also included the replacement of fire hydrants, valves, water <br />services, and appurtenant structures. <br />■ Fire Station No. 5. Contract administration and construction <br />management for the $5.4-million design -build construction <br />of a 9,400-square-foot fire station on one acre. The station <br />can house up to eight firefighters, Station design included <br />parking, driveways, sidewalks, walls, fences, landscaping, <br />water, sewer gas, telephone/cable and electrical utilities, <br />transmissions lines and facilities. Winner of 2018 BEST <br />Award from the Southern California chapter of the <br />American Public Works Association. <br />■ Citywide Sanitary Sewer Improvement Program/ <br />Projects, Group 6. Contract administration and <br />construction management for $2-million project to build <br />more than 4,200 linear feet of 24-inch,18-inch,l5-inch and <br />10-inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP) sewer mainline. Project <br />constructed 19 manholes, removing the existing mainline <br />and manholes, rebuilding the street and installing new traffic <br />loops, striping and pavement markers, <br />Underground Conversion Plan Projects. Contract <br />administration for three projects that are part of a City <br />five-year program, The initiative is relocating overhead <br />power and communications systems underground. The <br />work is intended to improve aesthetics, replace antiquated <br />equipment and enhance the reliability of the area's electrical <br />system. Typical work includes undergrounding 69kV <br />transmission and 12kV distribution systems, installing <br />streetlights and service connections and demolishing <br />overhead power, telephone and cable television lines. <br />■ La Palma Water Complex — Reservoir Rehabilitation and <br />Pump Station Replacement, Contract administration for <br />$9.3-million reservoir and pump station project, Managed <br />demolition of 3-mg reservoir and pump station. Directed <br />rehabilitation of 4-mg reservoir, construction of new pump <br />station and abandonment of inactive well. <br />■ Rehabilitation of Pressure Regulating Stations (PRS) <br />30 and 31 and Relocation of PRS-32 and -43 and <br />Construction of New PRS-73. Contract administration and <br />CM services for completion of various on -call water utilities <br />projects for the Water Utilities Engineering group. The <br />work consists of contract administration and construction <br />management services for PRS 30, 31, 32, 43, and 73 <br />project, and construction management services overseeing <br />the closeout of the PR-58, M-2 and M-8 projects, <br />■ Gene Autry Way Widening. Construction management <br />for this $6.8-million City of Anaheim project to widen and <br />make significant related improvements to portions of the two <br />arterials.
