<br />for a new right turn pocket and traffic signal improvements. One of
<br />Ardurra's first tasks was a constructability review of the project's
<br />plans (273 sheets) and specifications. Ardurra assisted the City
<br />during the bid phase, coordinating responses to bidder questions,
<br />substitution requests and compiling and issuing bid addenda,
<br />Ardurra also assisted the City With evaluation of submitted bids,
<br />as well as addressing a bid protest and assisting with preparation
<br />for City Council award of the construction contract. Ardurra
<br />construction phase services included assisting the City with
<br />establishing an efficient web -based project administration portal,
<br />and coordinating with a multitude of project stakeholders. Project
<br />stakeholders include City Departments, utilities, adjacent property
<br />owners, contractors and subcontractors, as well as the project
<br />architect and subconsultants. Other tasks entailed performing
<br />schedule and budget reviews, processing/coordinating RFI

<br />Ardurra managed construction of a dog park for the enjoyment
<br />of the area's canine residents and their owners. Dog park
<br />features include new artificial turf, landscaping, a parking lot, and
<br />sidewalks. The park is enhanced with play mulch, crushed -granite
<br />walkways, seating, lighting, fencing, and drinking fountains.
<br />Throughout the project, Ardurra's construction manager worked
<br />closely with the City's inspector and public works director. As
<br />part of construction management services, Ardurra provided
<br />public outreach in the field, quality assurance of work performed,
<br />participated in progress meetings, and ensured safe conditions as
<br />well as compliance with plans and specifications.

<br />million park project. The project involved construction of a new
<br />public park and stormwater infiltration system to restore a barren
<br />brownfield area to provide much needed open space, wildlife
<br />habitat, and environmental education opportunities. The project
<br />also provided enhancement of the City's trail network for outdoor
<br />recreation in an urbanized, industrial area. The passive new park
<br />and miscellaneous related work included grading, oil operations
<br />access roadway, a park entry monument and gate, stacked stone
<br />retaining walls, drainage and 'infiltration system, hardscape,
<br />decomposed granite walkways, passive park amenities, bollards
<br />and lighting, irrigation, trees and planting, dog valet station, and
<br />miscellaneous related work, Responsibilities Included submittal

<br />Ardurra provided CM and inspection services for this project
<br />that included the removal and replacement of play equipment
<br />and the play surface, as well as fencing surrounding the lower
<br />play area near the pond. The play structure was last replaced
<br />with modernized equipment in 2003, so the existing playground
<br />equipment and padded surface had become in a state of disrepair
<br />due to the extensive wear and tear of heavy use by the public
<br />over the last 18 years. And due to safety concerns, a substantial
<br />portion of the existing play equipment was placed off limits to
<br />users. In addition to revitalizing the play equipment and surface,
<br />the project also involved replacing portions of sidewalk between
<br />the play area and parking on Herrin Avenue and upgrading the
<br />existing accessible parking stalls on Herrin Avenue in compliance
<br />with current ADA standards. Ardurra worked diligently and closely
<br />with all shareholders to expedite the submittal, plan check, and
<br />approval of shop drawings and procurement of the shade sails in
<br />an effort to meet the contractual deadline for project completion.
