Charge No.G: Abuse of Power <br />Hamas is charged with abuse of power. A significant number of Palestinians are tired of <br />Hamas because it has failed them. As a result, Palestinians turned to social media and <br />created an online account under the name: "Hijacked Gaza" in Arabic. The account Was <br />dedicated to reveal Hamas' lawlessness and its heinous actions in hijacking Gaza and <br />persecuting its people, and depriving them of their freedom Arbitrarily and illegally. <br />An opinion poll conducted by The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Reseal -ell <br />(PSR) in 2021 has found there is a decline in support for Hamas at all levels. The center <br />states that: "What is noticeable however is that despite the stability in the domestic balance <br />of power, there is a clear disappointment in Hanlas' leadership indirectly expressed by the <br />public compared to the situation six and even three months ago. The findings show that the <br />percentage of those who choose Hamas to represent and lead the Palestinian people has <br />declined significantly and the gap between those who choose Hamas compared to those <br />who choose Fatah," Public Opinion Poll No (82) 1 PCPSR Additionally, Palestinians also <br />expressed their rejection of Hamas's terrorist approach to fighting Israel by using weapons <br />and violence. (13) <br />Charge No.7: The Prevention of Peace and Harmony <br />Hamas is charged with preventing peace and harmony. Hamas prevents any Palestinian <br />frorn expressing his or her opposing opinion about the Palestinian -Israel conflict; despite <br />most of the population doubting the wisdom behind the endless Palestinian-lsracli conflict. <br />. Fifty-six percent of Palestinians believe "people in the Strip cannot criticize Hamas' <br />authorities without fear." <br />As a result, opponents and critics of Hamas's foreign policies resort to remaining silent, or <br />expressing their opinions without revealing their identities. One Palestinian testified that: <br />"Hamas glorifies itself as the resistance to the occupation, but they sit in their palaces with <br />their Qatari passports while we pay the price... We've been through four horrific wars and <br />accomplished nothing." (14) <br />23 <br />
