According to
activists and residents in Gaza, these amounts go as salaries and to buy weapons for the
Hamas factions.
Yahya M-Sinwar, one of the Harnas leaders, stated in his recent speech saying; "Everyone
in Gaza must obtain a weapon and keep it, and whoever is unable to obtain a knife, in ax,
or any other weapon according to his capabilities."
Ahmed Youssef, a senior official in Hamas, said "There are no limits to sacrifice." This is a
violation of Islamic law, as Islamic, jurisprudence is clear on limitations to the sacrifices a
Muslim can make; ensuring that they do not impact the broader Muslim community.
One Palestinian Muslim woman testified; "Gazans have stopped believing in Hamas and its
followers, they don't offer us anything to feed or drink, and I wondered how we can build a
future with such people," ( 18)
26
