occurrence. <br /> 3.2.5 The contractor shall also ensure that: <br /> a. Vehicles, equipment, and hand or power tools are not left unattended or laying on <br /> walkways, grounds, or appurtenances where patrons may be put in jeopardy. <br /> b. Operator and machine safety equipment shall be in place and operational. <br /> C. Machine speed and operational characteristics shall match <br /> manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> d. Transport and operation speeds shall be within the maximum limits established for <br /> the site. <br /> e. After the protection of public safety, the preservation of site equipment, <br /> appurtenances, infrastructure, and public activities shall be paramount. <br /> f. Debris from operations shall not be allowed to compound existing conditions on hard <br /> surfaces and public access areas. All debris deposited on these areas as a result of <br /> the Contractor's work shall be cleared from hard surfaces and public access areas <br /> before leaving the site that day. <br /> g. The contractor shall remedy hazardous materials on site which result from <br /> Contractor's work and shall properly dispose of the materials off-site. The contractor <br /> shall notify all appropriate agencies. <br /> h. Malfunctioning equipment shall only be left on site with barricading, tagging, and <br /> reasonably supervising it until repairs are affected. In no case shall the equipment <br /> be left on site overnight. <br /> i. During all operations, the Contractor shall be subject to local ordinances regarding <br /> noise levels (see NOISE in Santa Ana Municipal Code). Any scheduling of the <br /> Contractor's operations may be modified by the City at no additional compensation <br /> to the Contractor to ensure that the public is not unduly impacted by the noise of <br /> equipment or operations. <br /> j. Fuels and additives shall not be left exposed or accessible to patrons. <br /> k. Fueling and repair operations shall be performed off of turf areas and away from <br /> patron activity. <br /> I. All pesticides shall be handled appropriately and safely. <br /> 3.3 Vehicles and Equipment <br /> 3.3.1 The contractor shall take necessary precautions for the safe operation of equipment and <br /> the protection of the public from injury and damage from such equipment. <br /> 3.3.2 The contractor shall immediately repair or replace all equipment deemed by the CR(s) to <br /> be unsafe, irreparable, or in unsatisfactory condition. <br /> 3.3.3 The contractor shall provide and properly maintain all necessary vehicles and equipment <br /> including, but not limited to: vehicles, mowers, edgers, saws, blowers, water hoses and <br />
