The Contractor shall check all ancillary equipment (load switches, <br />power supply, flashers, Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption, etc.) in the <br />cabinet for proper operation. <br />• Field Equipment: <br />o The Contractor shall check all pedestrian push buttons for proper <br />operation. <br />o The Contractor shall check all vehicle and pedestrian signal heads for <br />proper operation. <br />o The Contractor shall check all safety lights for proper operation. <br />o The Contractor shall check all poles and standards for damages. <br />o Contractor shall check and notify the City of any missing or damaged <br />Reflectorized Street Name Signs (RSNS) or traffic signs mounted on <br />the traffic signal poles. <br />o Contractor shall check all hardware (hand -hole covers, signs, <br />luminaires, poles, backplates, etc.). <br />• Maintenance Record: <br />The Contractor shall maintain a record log in each controller cabinet showing <br />the date and time of any service. It shall consist of: <br />o Routine Maintenance <br />o Extraordinary Maintenance <br />All records shall be legibly written or printed. These record logs shall <br />become property of the City. <br />(b) Video Detection System (VDS): <br />(i) Maintenance period: <br />The Contractor shall perform a complete inspection and service of each Video <br />Detection System once every three (3) months for proper operation and <br />cleanliness. <br />(ii) Maintenance Tasks: <br />• Field Equipment <br />1. The contractor shall clean the camera's housing lens or dome as <br />appropriate. <br />a. To minimize scratches or damage to the Video Detection, use a clean <br />microfiber towel, and a polish specifically designed for use on <br />Plexiglas, or other cleaner as recommended by the manufacturer. Do <br />not use any ammonia based or glass cleaners. <br />2. The Contractor shall check the mounting hardware for proper fastening <br />and alignment. <br />3. Check alignment of camera to detection each zone correctly. <br />4. Readjust detection as necessary to meet proper operations <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 24-046 <br />Page Al-4 <br />
