(d) Speed Feedback Signs: <br />(i) Maintenance period: <br />The Contractor shall perform a complete inspection and service of each Speed <br />Feedback Sign once every three (3) months for proper operation and cleanliness. <br />(ii) Tasks: <br />• Cabinets: <br />The cabinets for solar powered speed feedback signs are small NEMA cabinet <br />pole mounted at 9'-13'. <br />The Contractor shall clean the cabinets thoroughly on the inside, including all <br />components. The Contractor shall remove all unauthorized external <br />attachments such as notices, posters, signs, etc. and notify the City of any <br />graffiti that is on the signal equipment. It is not the Contractor's <br />responsibility to remove the graffiti <br />• Battery System: <br />Contractor shall check system operating voltage and battery life. Notify the <br />City if battery needs replacement. <br />• Field Equipment <br />The Contractor shall check LED display, poles, and standards. <br />The contractor shall check and ensure that LED display, strobes, and radar <br />detection equipment are in working order. <br />Contractor shall check and notify the City of any missing or damaged traffic <br />signs mounted on the traffic signal poles. <br />Clean the solar panels in accordance to the manufacturer's recommendation. <br />• Maintenance Record <br />The Contractor shall maintain a record log in each controller cabinet showing <br />the date and time of any service. It shall consist of: <br />a. Routine Maintenance <br />b. Extraordinary Maintenance <br />All records shall be legibly written or printed. These record logs shall <br />become property of the City. <br />2. Extraordinary Maintenance <br />Extraordinary maintenance includes work tasks to install new, replace or repair defective <br />or obsolete equipment and perform modification work not directly covered by routine <br />maintenance. Work shall be performed with prior City approval unless emergency or <br />public safety conditions require immediate response. <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 24-046 <br />Page Al-7 <br />
