Dec. 20, 1913 at 3 p.m. The Board met in special session ~ursuant to the following call: 'You are hereby notified that there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, in the City Ball on Dec. 20th, 1915 at ~ p.m. to take action on the resignation of Water superintendent Reid; also ~o take ~uch action with a view of a cc~se wit~ Water ~upt. Reid, eo that he may continue hie services in the Water Department; alee to direct the City Clerk to advertise for for one or more automobiles for the Water Department of the City of 8ants Aha, said bids to be opened January 5th 1914 at 7:~0 p.m. Frank President of the Board of Trustees, Present, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Grabb and ~y. Absent, Greenleaf. Board called to order by President Frank # In Re Resignation Ransom Reid, Water Supt. The following oommanication waJ received from Water Supt. Reid: Santa ARa, Cal. Dec. 15, Mt. Frank ~y, President of the Board of Trustees Dear Sir:- I hereby present to you my res~nation as Superintendent uf Water and Sewers, the same to take effect at an early a date as possible; not later if provision for a successor can be made ~efore Feb.lst 1914. Tours truly, Ranlc~ Reid. Upon motion of Alderman, duly seconded b7 McPhee, and carried, it i~ ordered that this Board tender to Mt.Reid for his lervicel al Water Superintendent and Sewer Super- intendent for the City of Santa JMa the remuneration of $~0~.00 per month and alio to furnish him an automobile with its ~kee~ for the said Department. The a~ove carried by the following vote: Ayes, Trus~eei Alderman, McPhee, Grubb and ~oes, ~one. Absent, Tffustee Greenleaf. Upon motion of Alderman, ~econded by McPhee and carried, it is ordered that the relignation of Ranlom Reid he filed. Mr. Reid appeared before the Board in reference to the above matter and refuled the offer of $200.00 per month compenlation, but offered to work for the City in the same Department at the same compensation that he was now receiving vis: $16S.00 per month, and with the understand- ing that the 0Sty would furnish him with an automobile al suggested in Mr. Alderman'l motion. Updm motion of Alderman, d~ly ieconded and carried, it il ordered that the tender of Mt. Reid be accepted and that he continue in the employ of the City at a monthly oompen~a-
