The Board met in regular ses4ion. Present Trutstees Alderm~, McPhee,Greenleaf, Grubb Board called to order by President Frank In Re Oity Prin~in~ advertising. In Re widening South Flower St In Re paving No. Main St. In Re Water Mains and Sewers. No. Hain St ~St Oity Hall, Santa Aha, 0al. +~ 1913 at 7:30 P.M. August 4~., and the Clerk. The president of the Board of Trustees announced the time having arrived for opening bids for the City printing and advertising the Clerk was on motion instructed to proceed to open bids. Bids were received for City printing from John M.Reed,Register Publishing Company,Blade Publishing Oompany, ~orden Printing Company and for Oity Adver- tising from the Blade Publishing Oompany and Re~ister Publishing Company. The Register Publishing Company bid for all legal notices ~8 cents for the first inzertion,and %~ cents per inch for all subse%ueat unse~tions. The Blade Publishin~ Oompany bid ~4~ cents per inch for first insertion and 44 cents per inch for all eubseQuesnt insertions. On motion duly seconded and carried, so rem as the advertising is conc~ned the contract be awarded ' to the Blade Publishing Company,and the bids for the City printing be referred to a committee consisting of Trustees Alderman, Greenleaf and McPhee. A petition from M~s. S Hamilton et fences be set back on South Flower al,petitioning that Street,between west First Street and Fai~view Avenue,also that street be to grade and graveled. On motion of McPhee duly seconded and carried that the Street Depa:tment ma~ ~emporary improvements and that the City gnginee~ fux~ish data showing ~ount neceas~y ~o be rem ove~ to .e~ e~=eet ~o g~ade. A petition of B J Jackman~petitioning t~t North Street be paved from the North end of the north Main Street bri~e to the Oit~ Limits was on motion ~ motion of ~der~n d~y seconded and ca~ied~ the ~pe=in~en~nt of ~a~er and 8~ers was on motion to lay water ~ins and sewer lines to City l~ts ~ North M~in Street. On motion of G~bb d~y seconded and espied, it is ed ~hat the Oily pay one-half of ~he cost of oiling G~L
