On motion of Grubb, seconded by McPhee and carried, by the following vote to-wit: Ayes, Alderman, ~cPhce, Greenleaf and Grubb. Noes, Mens. Absent, the office of Building Inspector is declared vacant, and on motion of ],[cPhee, seconded by Grubb and carried, ~tty Zngineer S.H. Finley is n~med acting Buil~Iins In- specter until hie successor be appointed. On motion the City Clerk is instructed to notify the P.~. Railway Company to install PacifAc Telephones at its sub-station at Santa Ana and at Stanton. On motion the Street Superintendent is instructed to notify property owners to put in cement curbs on the East side of Broadway betweeh End and ~th Streets and on the South side of ~d Street between Broadway and Sycamore Streets. On motion the Police Oonunission is authorized to put on another L~otor cop to serve at the pleasure of the Oormd ss ion. On motion the water Superintendent is instructed to abandon work on water mains on Morth Main Street until a petition for pavin5 the str,~et has been presented signed by a majority of the property ov~ers.
