In re Ordinance No.~59 ~ire and Water Bonds. Ordinance No.5§9. An ordinance of the Oity of Santa Ana determining and declaring that the public interest and public necessity of the City of Santa Ana, ~lifdrnia~ den~ud the construction,improvement and extension of the Water Works, of said City,including the -~urchase of a b~iler and pumps,mains and pipes,and the cost of lay- ing tho san~e together with the necessary machinery and apparatus for imDrov~ing the Water eysten of said City, also,apparatus for the improvement of the Fire Depart- ment of said City,including the purchase of an auto truck and fire hose for said fire department, the cost of which municipal improvements will be to~ great to be paid out of the ordianry annual income and revenue of the City of Santa Ana;pro~iding for the number and character of the bonds to be issued for said municipal improvements,reciting the object and ~urLoses for which the indebtedness is proposed to bo incurred for said municipal improvements,the estimated cost of the proposed publicimprovement,the amount of the principal of the indebtedness to be incurred therefor,and the rate of interest to be paid on said indebtedness,and providing that in all particulars not recited in this O~dinance that said election shall be held as provided by law for holding ~*dial Municipal elections in Such municipalities,prowiding for the holding of a Special Election on the llth day of September, 191S, in the City of Santa Aha for the purl,ose of voting for or against the issuing of certain bonds for the pay- ment of the cost of said improvements,~o-wit: For the put?cee of voting for or ~g&inst the issuing of bond~ of the City of Santa Aha in the amount of $6S.000 to pay the cost of building and construo~ing of improve- ments and extensions of the Santa Aha City Water Wor~, of said City,and for the purpose of voting for or sgaAnst the issuing of bonds of the Oity of Santa Ana in the amount of $12.005 to pay the cost of construction and improvement of the Fire Department by the~purchaae~of apparatus for said Fire Deuartmcntsdividing t~e Oity into Five Election preoincts,appointing polling plaee., Inspcctors,Judges~ ~lerks for said election,and to Notice order the Oity Clerk to publish^of said ~leotion,was read and on motion of McPhee, seconded by Alderman and carried, ordered referred to the Olty Attorney. #
