Greenleaf, Frank Fire and Water Bonds City Hall, Santa Ana,~ Cal. August 25th 1913 at ?:50 P.M. and the Clerk. Ordinance No.§59, an Ordinance of the City of San~a Aha, determining and declaring, that the public interest and public necessity of the City of Santa Aha,California, demand the construction, improvement and extension of the water works of said City, including the purchase of a boiler and pump, mains and pipes, and the cost of lay- ing the same, together with the necessary machinery and apparatus for improving the water system of said City, also, apparatus for the ~rovement of the Fire Depart- ment in said City, including the purchase of an auto truck and fire hose for said Fire Department,the cost of which municipal improvemeuts will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of the City of Santa Aha; provid&ng for the nt~nber and character of the bonds to be issued for said municipal improvements, reciting the object and purposes for which the indebtedness is proposed to be incurred for said municipal improvements, the estimated cost of the propos- ed public improvements, the amount of the ~rincipal of the indebtedness to be inc'~vred therefor, and the rate of interest to be paid on said indebtedness, and providing that in all part. iculars not recited in this Ordinance that said election shall be held as provided by law for holding special munic~z~l elections in such municip~lities,pro- riding for tho holding of a special election on the llth day of September, 191J, in the City of Santa Ana, for the purpose of voting for or against the issuing of certain bonds for the payment of the cost of said i~.proven~ents to-wit: for the purpose of voting for or against the . issuing of bonds of the City of Santa Ana~ in the amount Of ^~ ~O$,000, to DAy the cost of building and constructing of improvements and extensions of the Santa Aha City ~ater works of said City, and for the purpose of voting for or against the issuing of bonds of thc City of San~a Aha, in the an:cunt of ~1~,000~ to pay the cost of con- struction and improvement of the Fire Department by the purchase of aLparatus for said Fire Department; dividing ~he City in~o five election precincts,~ppointing polling places, inspectors, Judges and Clerks for said election, and to order the City Clerk to publish notice of said
