Henderson Jones-had pneumonia in Jan.tgl2, <br />leaving hie left a leg bedly swollen from which cause <br />he was unable to work for five months- began work for <br />the City on August 12,191S, a~ain, worked until Jan.191~, <br />hurt hie ankle by having it rubbed with a stiff shoe <br />while cleaning streets, which caused an ulcer on the left <br />ankle, he was off work for two day~, put back to w~rk <br />by ~nglish, plowing streets on G~and Aveuue, he says, <br />'lhile plowing the streets a slab of asphalt fell on <br />ankle, injuring the sore already there, from this injury <br />h* wa~ off work after two days, -until Au6.191~, again <br />being placed at %he 0i*y Barn in the Street Department. <br /> <br /> From ~ observation and from all that ! can learn in <br /> the matter I am of the opinion that Mr. Jones' conten- <br /> tion is not tho right one, ! am of the opinion that <br /> Mt.Jones' trouble is not caused by an ancidental <br /> and that the 0i~y ie not liable in any way. <br /> <br /> Yours truly, <br /> <br /> J.l.01ark, M.D. <br /> 0ity Health 0ffioer. <br /> <br /> On motion of MoPhee, duly seconded and oerried, the <br /> foregoing report of the City Health officer is accepted <br /> and ordered ~pread on the minu~es. <br /> <br /> On motion of Alderman, seconded by Grubb and carried, it <br /> is ordered that the claim of Henderson Jones for an <br /> alleged injury while in the City's employ be denied. <br /> <br /> L.A.
