Company, Ordinance No.~81 In Re Manhole Plate North Main Street In Re Cement L.A.County In Re Bids for Sidewalks Ourbs and Gutters In Re Industrial Accident Board In Re P.E. Ry. Company Flagman, ~ast let St. A request from Margaret Esau, et al, for the installal~n of a street light at the Junction of last ~0th Street Poinsettia Street was presented. On motion of Alderman, seconded by Grubb and carried, it is ordered that action be deferred for the installation of street lights until a new contract is made for oit7 lights. The request of S.A. Milligan for permission to remove two cy~ress trees at 1~46 West Fifth Street was on motion of McPhee, seconded b7 Alderman,granted. A statement from the Pacific ~leotric Rwy. Oompan7 with their voucher No.$27§0 for the amount of $$18.95 in payment of amount due City on account of franchise tax, Ordinance No. S81, for the year ending Nov. 7, 191~, was on motion referred to the Finance Committee with power to act. # A com~nication received from F. g. Hallman directing the Board's attention to the dangerous condition of manhole plates on North Main Street was on motion referred to Supt. Reid. # A communication was received from C.H. Plummer,0ounty Pur- chasing Agent of Los Angelge County, setting forth a propo- sition whereby the 0ity of Santa Aha could purchase cement from the County ~f Los Angeles at cost. On motion it is order- ed that the matter be referred to the Street Committee f~r investigation. The President of the Board having announced this the time for opening bids for cement sidewalks, curbs and gutters in accord- ance to the provisions of Resolution No.561, the Clerk was on motion ordered to proceed to open bids. The 51erk reported no bids having been received. A communication received from the Industrial Accident Board in reference to the Workman's Compensation, Insurance and Safety Act was on motion ordered filed. # A communication from J.
