On motion of McPhee duly seconded and~rried, Street Superin- tendent, English, City ~ngineer ~onebrake and Trustees Orubb and Alderman are named a committee to investigate the matter of ~orm-drain on Fairview Avenue, from Flower Street West, for investigation and with power to act. Horace Fine of the Blade Publishing Oompany, appeared before the ~oard in reference to indexes for Great Register. On motion of ~rubb duly seconded and carried, the matter was r~ferred to Trustee Orubb , Oreenleaf and Alderman for inves- tigation and r~-ort. In re O~dinan:e Nc. 585. An ordinance of the city of Santa Aha, to ~rotect pavements under construction was read and motion of Alderman, seconded by Grubb, passed and adopted by the followin5 vote,to-wit: Ayes;- Alderman, McPhee, Orubb, and Ry. Nos:- Oreenleaf. It havin& been re~6rted to the Board that the Washington School House was in an unsa"e condition, Oity ~nEineer Bonebrake, Building' Inspector Decker, and ~.O.~ranzen, were named a committee to investigate and report. Mr. 0hamplon submitted a proposition for the heating of the City Hall with natural gas, the matter~s on motion referred to Trustees Greenleaf and McPhee. Mr. Ohapman al~pcared before the Board and asked permission to build a shed-roof out.of corregated iron to be installed on the West side of the barn located on the Northwest corner of Second and Main. On motion duly seconded andcarried the request was ~ranted. On motion of Grubb , seconded by McPhee , Trustees Orubb and Alderman named a c o.m~ittee to confer with officers of the S.A.V.I. Os., to arrange in reference to the ~ates on Santa Fa. St., with the view of changing them so that they will not interfere with the drainage of Fourth to F~rst Street. On motion of Grubb s d~ly 'seconded end carried, Trustees Grubb, Alderman and McPhee are named a committee to meet with officials of the P.g. Ry. ~o., with the view of preparing a f~anchise and setting out propositions that will be accept- able to th~ 2card. # On motion of Alderman and seconded by Greenleaf andcarried, the Oity Cl~.rk is directed tc notify J.g.McDonald , Secretary
