In re skating rink Aria.cry The petition of Preble and Hc_~ et al, for oiling and graveltnZ Valencia street in the ~ftl, of Santa Ana, between East ~eventeenth and zast Twentieth street was on motion referred to the Street committee. The application of O.B.~alkeld to erect a ~orrigated iron building on the Gilmakcr property on West Fourth street between Broadway and oiroh was on motion d~nied. Pr.Hervey appeared before the Board and requested an extension of tine for the payment of taxds, on motion the ~.atter was referred to the City Attorney for a legal c~inion. The opinion to be s~0mitted at a regular adjourned nesting of the Board on November ~4th ,1914 at ~:$0 P.Y. # On motion duly seconded an,l~rrted it was ordered that the ~ity pay one-Quarter of the ~o~t irtoe of paving a n~ne ~oot str~p ~act o~ the center Ii~ on ~outh Bristol street, from the ~outh ~ity L~_its to Fairvtew Avenue, and the President of the ~oard of Trustees was instructed to sign the ~ontra~t ~or the l'aving. # E.~,E~ech alpeared before the ~oard and s~ked permission to install an electri~ sign in front of the Orange County ~avings and Trust ~omDany, on West ~ourth strB~t. On motion of Grubb duly secondod and carried the matter wa~ referred to the Street ~or~ittse with power to act. A Mr. Rolph al-peared before the Board and asked >er~is~tcn to oI:en a skating rink in the Armory Puild~ng. The a~plieant agreeing not to conduct the rink later than 10:~0 P.E. On motion of Grubb duly seconded and carried it is ordered that the request be granted.
