Tree, Ocr. 9th & Spurgeon In Re Closing French St Crandall Paving In Re Paving Chestnut Ave. from Pacific glectric Rwy. ~o Halladay St. A petition for a 40 foot road beginning at the intersec- tion of the Diamond Schoolhouse road in Sec.~$,Tp.5 S. R. 10 W. S.B.B.& M., and Sulivan St. of Santa Aha Acres; thence running westerly over the pro.perry line to the Santa Ana River, was presented to the Board, on motion of Grubb, seconded by McPhee and carried, the petition is referred to a committee consisting Sf Trustees Grubb, Alderman and Ey, and the President of the Board is authorized to sign the petition in behalf of the Board of Trustees if the CO~lnittee report fav¢.rably upon petition. # Mr. Alexander from the post off, ce appeared before the Board and suggested that all streets in the City be re-numbered and that First and Main ets., be selected as the center; the committee appointed to investigate this matter asked for further time and the same is granted. Mr. Decker, Building Inspector, appeared before the Board, and stated that the foreman of the L'ngstrum Coml, any asked that the Board pay for a new concrete surface in the alley back of the ~armers & Merchants National Bank. On motion of Alderman, seconded by McPhee,the request imperiled. # The request to remove a ~alm tree at the corner of Ninth and Spurgeon ets., was on motion referred to the Street Committee wirer to act. # The request of from ~irst St., the Crandall .Paving Co., to,close French St., to Third St., for the purpose of paving was on motion of Grubb, seconded by Alderman , granted, provided however, that all public utilities be granted the time allowed for putting in pipe lines. # On motion of Alderman, seconded by MoPhee and carried, the request of the 0randall Paving Co., for the paving of Chest- nut Ave., from the Pacific ~lectric 1~. to Halladay St., was deferred. The property owners are to be notified t~ put in sewer connections and curbs and all public utilities notified to put in pipe line and the S.A.V.I.Go., to be notified to lower their pipe line.
