Lee Angeles, extending an invitation to the Mayor and City Council to be in attendance at the Allied War Expos~tion at Exposition Park Tuesday August 6th at 2;70 P.M. wa~ read and on motion of Trustee MoPhee duely seconded b~ Tubbs received and placed on file. fn Re A oo~munioation from County Auditor Wm. On motion of Trustee Tubbs duely seconded by MoPhee same was accepted and placed on file. An application from Folios Officer Joseph Ryan requesting a sixty day leave of absence from the city pending the outcome of his examination in the army service. Same was granted on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duely seconded by Tubbs a~d carried. On Motion of Trustee Tubbs duely seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the Board ratifie~ the appointment of John Combe tc succeed Police Officer Joseph Rya~. The resignation of Mont Jackson aa Fire Chief in the City Fire Department was accepted on motion of Trustee Maryatt duely seconded by Tubbs and carried. On motion of Trustee Tubbs duely seconded by Maryatt the Board ratifies the appointment of John Luxenbourger aa Fire Chief to succeed Merit Jackson resigned.
