W. Bowers <br />asking for permission to call the alley running North <br />and South between let and Walnut,Just East of Main, <br />Court Avenue. The request was granted on motion of <br />Trustee Maryatt duly seconded by McPhee and carried. <br /> <br />President Vieel announced that this was the date set <br />for opening bide for paving that portion of Edinger <br />Street that lies within the City, and on motion of <br />Trustee Tuhbs duly seconded by Maryatt that the Clerk <br />proceed to open bids. The only bid received being <br />that from the Orange Count7 Engineering and Construc- <br />tion Co. at the following prices~ accompanied by a <br />certified check for $250.00: <br /> <br /> Item 1. 5?0 cu. yds. excavation, including all work <br /> incidental thereto, $1.65 per yd. <br /> <br /> Item Z. 24,194 sq. ft. of"Class Bepavement, lnolud. <br /> lng furnishing all material and all work incidental <br /> thereto, 16~ cts. per sq. ft. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee MoPhee duly seconded by Tubbs <br /> same was referred to a committee to report at next <br /> meeting. Trustees McPhee and Tubbe being appointed <br /> ae said committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Maryatt duly seconded by Tubbe <br /> and carried the request of the Pickwick Stages for a <br /> permit to operate stages over the highways of the <br /> city was granted for one year. <br /> <br /> The motion of Trustee McPhee that enough cash be left <br /> in the special property tax fund to pay for improving <br /> that portion of Edinger Street that lies within the <br /> city, and to buy Liberty Loan Bonds from the followin <br /> <br /> <br />
