In Re warrants For Liberty Bonds In Re Wagon For Street Department. In Re Ordinance ~635, amending Ordinance ~441. In Re Instructions T~ Street Supt. Contractors. On Private Ba~ks: let National, Farmers & Merchants National, California National and Orange County Savings and Trust Company, to the amount of $2,000.00 each. The above motion was duly seconded by Tubbe and passed by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Tubbe, McPhee, and Visel. Noes: Trustees None. Not Voting: Trustee Maryatt. Absent: Trustee Greenleaf. Trustee Maryatt'e amendment to the above motic that $10,O00.O0 be bought instead of $~,OOO.0¢ not receiving a second, was lost. On motion of Trustee McPhee duly seconded by Maryatt, the Clerk was instructed to draw wart%rite on the Treasurer in favor of each of the four banks for the necessary Liberty Bonds of Two Thousand Dollars each. # A motion by Trustee McPhee that a committee be appointed in reference to purchasing a wagon for the Street Department was duly seconded by Tubbs and carried. Trustees McPhee and Tubb$ and Street ~upt. O'Brlen wet appointed aa such committee. Ordinance ~35, an ordinance adding a new section to ordinance ~1 to be known aa eeo- tion 1~ and providing for a permit from the Supt. of Streets before making excavations in the streets and alleys of the city was given final reading, and on motion Sf Trustee Tubhl duly seconded by Maryatt that same be adopted passed by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Tuhhs, McPhee, Maryatt & Vleel Noes: Trustees none. ' Absent: Trustee Greenleaf. On motion of Trustee McPhee duly seconded by Tubbe and carried Street Supt. O'Bzien was instructed to notify all private contractors that they must conform to the ordinance and file new bonds before lseueing a permit for excavating in the streets e~ alleys. # A motion by Trustee MoPhee to adjourn was duly seconded by Tubbs and carried.
