In the matter of the application of the Crown Stage Company for a permit to operate a Stage Line between Santa Aha and Laguna Beach same was granted for one year, on motion of Trustee Tubbs duly seco~ ed by Maryatt and carried. In the matter of the application of the Highway Transportation Company for a hearing was on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Maryatt and carried set for October the 21st at ?:~0 p. m. A petition signed by individuals, organizations and societies asking that an ordinance or ordinano~ be passed to close all pool rooms, billiard halle, moving picture shows and theatres on Sundays. ~motlOn of Trustee McPhee that the City Attorney prepare such an ordinance, not receiving a second, was lost. A motion by Trustee Greenleaf that the petition be referred to a committee for further action was duly seconded by Tubbs and carried. Trustees Tubbe, Greenleaf and Maryatt being appoint ed as such committee. A protest from Mrs. Hattie Bauer in reference to the North Flower St. Bridge, stating that solid concrete or cement walls between the supporting pillars would endanger her property on the North Bank.
