Grove representing Townsend & Wyatt appeared before <br />the Board asking for a permit to hang a banner across 4th <br />St. at French, Dec. 24th,~glhand 2?th announcing a free <br />exhibition of pictures, banner to be removed at the expira- <br />tion of the time asked for and the installing of picture <br />machine to be under supervision of Fi~e Chief. <br /> <br /> Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and <br /> request was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapman and <br /> carried, the ~ercantile Storage and Transfer Co. were granted <br /> a permit to install a 210 gallon gasoline tank underground <br /> at their place of business on East ~th St. under the super- <br /> vision of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Petitions from property owners on l?th St. from Santiago to <br />St. Mabury a~king that the above portion of Street be paved under <br /> <br /> Specifications Nc.g? revised, expense of said pavement in- <br /> cluding sewer line and branch connections to edge of the 15 <br /> ft. pavement with the understanding that City pay 50 per cent <br /> aa~- property holders 50 per cent. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and <br /> carried, the request was granted and on motion of Trustee <br /> Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, City Atty, <br /> Scott was instructed to prepare the ~eoessary Resolution <br /> ordering the above portion of pavement and sewer connections <br /> and City Engineer Hoy instructed to furnish plans and speci- <br /> fication, and the Clerk instructed to a~vertise for bids <br /> for paving the City portion of same, bids to be opened Jan. <br /> <br />5th, 1920, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, <br /> <br />duly seconded by Greenleaf and <br /> <br /> carried, bids received for paving approximately 4500 ft. <br /> of pavement on Mabury between First and Fourth Sts. was <br /> opened. One bid wa. received that of Wells and Bressler, <br /> who bid as follow.: <br /> <br /> Item 1. For grading roadway including all necessary <br />cutting, filling and shaping of every description. <br /> <br /> For all 5 inch concrete pavement aa per Specifications ~? <br />revised, including the furnishing of all material and all work <br />incidental to the sum of 1~.2 cts. per sq. ft. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Greenleaf,duly seconded by Dale and <br />carried, the bid was accepted and President Mitchell was <br />'authorized to sign the necessary contract for same. <br /> <br /> <br />
